Top Five Reasons I Love Non-BYU Singles Wards
Reason 5: The awkward flirting. Enough said.
Reason 4: There are two types of guys. The first is the very recently returned missionary. The second is the extremely awkward/ not well groomed/ not so recently returned missionaries.
Reason 3: There is one type of girl. The girls who are thinking, "Is it almost summer? We need to get those BYU students back to get some fresh meat in this ward" because lets be honest: none of the current male population is eligible or potentials have already been exhausted.
Reason 2: They are so willing to do anything and everything. Boundless energy. (After all, they never know when they will meet the eternal companero).
Reason 1: They came to help us clean up our backyard today! Hip Hip Hooray!
So, they were doing a ward service day, and our new house has 14 big trees in the backyard that haven't bee kept up in, well, a decade of so. After the realtor already bagged up about 15-20 bags of leaves, that left us with a scintillant amount of, oh, 30 huge bags. We're talking thirty 39 gallon bags filled to the brim with leaves and twigs...after the 20 bags previously done. Can we say, "holy cow!" Yep, it was great.
Thank heavens for the singles ward in our stake. It would have taken about a billion years to do what we did today! Shout out!!!
