The Eye Exam

So it finally happened...Emma had her first official eye exam. Poor little gal.  She even had her eyes dilated.  Dustin did a bunch of tests to see how her eyes were developing and make sure there weren't any major signs of problems.  It is called an InfantSEE exam, and I think they offer them in most places.  It is a free exam for babies between 6 months and a year.

We had a couple of other students that came in to see the exam too.  They seemed to be having a lot of fun.  One of them brought in this big bag of toys to wave at Emma.  (You know how they always make you look at the big E?  You have to be looking in the distance so they can check stuff.) Anyway, the toys worked wonders...in fact we found out she is already about a -1.00 prescription.  That is as bad as my eyes were at their WORST. (Apparently, having a baby fixed my eyes.  I no longer need glasses in my right, and my left prescription was cut in half. Ah Yeah!) Unfortunately, Emma's going to have her papa's eyesight...glasses by kindergarden.  She'll be the "four eyes" of her class.  At least she'll be so adorable that everyone else is going to wish they had glasses too. ;)

  1. I never would have thought of taking a baby in to get their eyes checked...
