Emma's Birthday
She is one! How did time fly by so fast. A little update on Emma at the age of one:
-She is 28 in. long
-Weighs 18.2 pounds
-Sits around the 10th percentile for weight and heigh
-She has eight teeth. Her bottom teeth came in first, then her side top teeth, and lastly her two front teeth.
-She left teeth marks on our bed because she is chewing on everything, and she loves to prop herself up on the foot of the bed. The problem with that is that she slides in between the mattress and the foot of the bed and gets stuck.

-She is a very happy little girl.
-She giggles readily when she is sleepy, but you have to work really hard for a giggle if she isn't tired.
-She gives a lot of little coy smiles.
-She loves to steal Arthurs toys and suck on them. YUCK!
-She loves to play the piano.
-She sticks her fist in her mouth and moves it around to make crazy blub blub sounds. (ok hard to explain in words, you'd just have to see it)
-She hates baby food and only wants to eat what we are having.
-She LOVES cheese...a lot.
-She likes Daddy better for playing and Mommy better for snuggling.
-When she wants to play, she reaches for Dustin and says "Dada Daddy" over and over again all happy like, but when she wants to snuggle or be loved she says "Mom Mom Mom" all dejectedly.
-She goes down to bed VERY easily, but she's still having some problems with waking up a few times at night looking for her pacifier. She also loves to cuddle up with her ducky stuffed animal/blanket.
-She is very easy going. She lets anyone hold her and is great about being left with sitters.
-She loves to crinkle her nose and huff and puff. She does this with either a big smile or while makine the "f" sound over and over again.
-She had started taking her first few steps, but then she got sick for almost a month straight. Now, she is a little nervous about walking again but gaining confidence quickly.
-She loves watching and playing with older kids
-She is very content with independent play most days (makes cleaning house a lot easier), but loves playing games with Mommy and Daddy too.
-She has started to try to make us laugh. Rather than always entertaining her, she is trying to entertain us now too.
-She loves to put her face right up to mine, nose to nose, until your eyes blur out and it looks like the other person only has one eye. Then she starts giggling at me and does it again.

Um...that's all I can think of for now. I'm sure there will be other things that I want to remember down the road that I will have to add. Now for pictures!
