The Zoo with the Bockholts
Two moms, two kids, one relatively cool almost summer hot day, and the zoo...
Our good friends the Bockholts invited us to join them at the zoo one afternoon, so we decided to go. I can't tell you how much Emma loves Hailey. She gets so excited to see her and tries to copy everything she does. Plus, Emma loves being able to look around and see all the cool stuff around her, so the zoo was pretty perfect. Luckily, they have a pass, so we were able to go using that, which relieved any pressure of having to see the WHOLE thing or do EVERYTHING if the girls got tired or whatever. However, we did see quite a bit of the zoo, and Hailey got to be our guide. She was a pro. She knew exactly what animals and exhibits she wanted to see. It was a really fun outing and a great change of pace for us. So glad we got to go!

Apparently this bird enclosure is closed ALL THE TIME, and it is really hard to find it open. However, they were just about to open it for the season, and that particular day, people with a pass got to feed the birds for free! Emma, she didn't quite know what to think about the birds being so close to her. She started freaking out a little bit, but we got some good pictures still.
